E-GMP (Electric Global Modular Platform)
Stable ride comfort and dynamic driving performance
The E-GMP platform comprises of vehicle chassis that includes – battery, motor and power electric system. The battery system features an advanced battery pack offering high range, while the bi-directional charging plug allows the high-voltage battery to power various electronic appliances. The E-GMP platform also features an Integrated charging control unit (ICCU) that charges both the high-voltage battery as well as auxiliary battery. With an inherent modular DNA, E-GMP is capable of forming the underpinnings of vehicles with different body types and through the innovative interior packaging the vehicles will feature a flat floor, slim cockpit and a flexible yet spacious cabin. Modularity to Enable Development Flexibility
The advanced architecture of E-GMP and its modular systems will enable the flexible development of multiple vehicles that cater to diverse customer needs. Further, with the modularity of this platform, multiple high-range battery options can be configured by adding or removing standard battery modules.
Designed for Performance
E-GMP has been designed to deliver enhanced driving dynamics with improved cornering performance and driving stability at high speeds that is achieved through optimal weight distribution between front and rear.
With the use of a 5-link rear suspension the platform is able to deliver superior ride comfort and handling with E-GMP customers can enjoy the benefits of fast charging that can charge 10% to 80 % in 18 min.*

V2L (Vehicle-to-Load)
IONIQ 5 becomes a high-capacity auxiliary battery
It is possible to use mobile devices such as personal computers and electric products with high power consumption such as camping equipment inside and outside the car . The IONIQ 5's V2L feature delivers up to 1.6kW of power, and the V2L port under the rear seat can be used while driving.
Indoor V2L (Vehicle to Load)
Using the indoor V2L under the rear seat, you can use electronic devices in the car without worrying about the battery.
Indoor/outdoor V2L function is available only when the battery level is 20~100%.
Maximum power consumption may vary depending on the electronic equipment used.
Outdoor V2L (Vehicle to Load)
The outdoor V2L function, which provides power consumption of up to 1.6 kW, enables the use of various electrical products.The outdoor V2L function provides customers with a convenient outdoor experience even in a variety of external environments.

Built-in recorder [with auxiliary battery]

IONIQ 5 embraces unique EV design characteristics such as short overhangs and a long wheelbase with collision safety, maximized passenger space, and battery safety.
Forward Collision - Avoidance Assist (JT)
Fast and smooth downshifts. Rev-matching synchronizes engine speed to input shaft speed for the next gear, reducing wear and enhancing durability.
Lane Keeping Assist (LKA)
Uses the front camera to monitor the lines of the road. In case of an unintended lane departure, it will warn you and can apply counter steering torque to guide the car back to the lane.
Blind-Spot Collision - Avoidance Assist (BCA)
Using two radar sensors in the lower rear bumper, the system warns you of traffic in the blind spot area. If you set the turn indicator in such a situation, it will sound an acoustic alert and applies the brake to prevent collision.
Safe Exit Warning (SEW)
assist you to exit safely if a vehcile is approaching from the rear while you exit the car
Driver Attention Warning (DAW)
Monitors the driver's attention level while driving. Provides a warning when signs of driver inattentiveness are detected and recommends a rest if needed.
High Beam Assist (HBA)
This fetaure enables you to focus on the road by detetcing the oncoming vehciles and automatically shifting the low and high beam of your vehicle and enhance visibility
Smart Cruise Control with Stop & Go (SCC with S&G)
More safer and less stress. Maintains a set distance to the vehicle ahead and automatically reduces or increases speed to a pre-set limit. In ""stop & go"" traffic, the set distance is maintained.
Highway driving assistance 2 [with lane change assistance function]
When driving on the highway, it maintains the following distance from the vehicle in front. It supports driving in the middle of the lane at the speed set by the driver, even on curves. When driving above a certain speed, grip the steering wheel and move the LED turn lamp lever in the direction of the lane you want to change to automatically change lanes.
Lane Following Assist (LFA)
LFA helps you to keep the car inline in any lane
Rear Cross - Traffic Collision - Avoidance Assist (RCCA)
When reversing out of areas with low visibility, the system not only warns you when vehicles approach from the side – it also applies the brakes automatically.
